It is going to cost hundreds of millions of pounds for a massive invasion of people's privacy along with breaching civil rights of almost every citizen in the country and presumably anyone from abroad who communicates with them. The legislation is supposed to catch terrorists before they terrorize, that is of course the excuse! The European Union has expanded its sanctions against Iran, freezing assets and adding more officials to a visa blacklist. It cites 'serious human rights violations' for the measures - which follow other similar penalties over the Islamic republic's nuclear programme. Iran\'s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has captured a US ScanEagle drone over the Persian Gulf waters upon its intrusion into the Iranian airspace. IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi made the announcement on Tuesday, adding that the Iranian armed forces enjoy full intelligence command over foreign movements in the Persian Gulf region. Referring to the captured ScanEagle drone, the Iranian commander pointed out, \"Such drones are usually launched from large aircraft carriers.\" The ScanEagle drone, which has a 10ft (3m) wingspan, is a long-endurance aircraft built by Insitu, a subsidiary of Boeing.Iran has released footage of the captured drone. President Hamid Karzai for the first time has made public that the US wants to have permanent military presence in Afghanistan. He has also unveiled the number of bases the US is mulling over. Karzai wants to let the US have these bases but with some conditions. But on the streets, local Afghans are angry at the prospect of permanent US bases in their country. The say such bases will bring about more problems to Afghans, and that they no more trust foreign forces.
