US, Israel behind cyber-attack on Iran? Experts say a computer worm that has targeted Iran's industrial sites may be part of a cyber-attack by the US or Israel against the Islamic Republic. The Stuxnet, a computer worm that is viewed as potentially the most dangerous piece of computer malware discovered, has targeted industrial computers in Iran. The complex worm recognizes a specific facility's control network and then destroys it. Experts say the worm, which has a very sophisticated design, may have been created by a state-sponsored organization in the US or Israel to target specific control software being used in the Iranian industrial sector, including the Bushehr plant -- Iran's first nuclear power plant. "All the details so far to me scream that this was created by a nation-state," Bloomberg quoted Frank Rieger, technology chief for a maker of encrypted mobile phones, as saying. Iran's nuclear facilities may have been the targets, said both Rieger and Richard Falkenrath of the Chertoff Group, a Washington-based security advisory firm. "It is theoretically possible that the US government did this," Falkenrath said during an interview with Bloomberg Television on Saturday. "But in my judgment, that's a very remote possibility. It's more likely that Israel did it." Meanwhile, a top US cyber-security official claims that the US does not know who is behind the cyber-attack and is still analyzing the worm. "We've conducted analysis on the software itself," Sean McGurk, director of the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, told reporters on Friday. "It's very difficult to say 'This is what it was targeted to do,'" he said, adding the center was not looking for those behind the attack but it rather sought to prevent the spread. A section of a gas pipeline has been blown up in Egypt\\\'s Sinai Peninsula, with militants the prime suspects. Security sources say the target of the attack was a domestic pipeline feeding natural gas to an industrial area. There are no reports of casualties so far. Security forces have encircled the area and have launched an investigation. In recent months, militants have repeatedly targeted another pipeline in the region, halting gas supplies to Israel and Jordan. The militants escalated attacks on Egyptian police and security forces following the ouster of Mohamed Morsi in July.

In a TV story about a shooting that took place in a Chicago neighborhood a reporter chooses to talk to a 4 year old boy to get reaction. We apologize for the video quality but what's important here is what is said….Listen to how the news anchors promote the story...what the child says ..and how the rest of the story is read "Meanwhile two city teens are are wounded on the Southside near east 7th. There was 18 year old man and a 16 year old girl were hit The males in good condition and the girl is expected to recover. There children on the scene who all saw it al infold and had disturbing reaction. Child - No I'm not scared of nothing. Reporter- when you get older are you going to stay away from these guns Child - No Reporter - No What are you going to do when you get older Child - I'm gonna have me a gun Anchor - That is very scary indeed. So far no suspects in the shootings." At first, a viewer might think the children were hardened soon to be street criminals. But someone at Chicago's WBBM leaked the entire interview to journalism watchdog groups Again we apologize for what you see but listen to what the reporter and the child actually said. The US Civil rights group the NAACP wants action taken against the reporter and the editor. In American communities of color, civic groups have long complained about how they are portrayed on television and in newspapers. While many now say this is proof positive of a pervasive and long standing trend in American media, others who watch the industry say its is and isolated incident. Also a number of bank managers have been fired. Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei Iran\'s Prosecutor General, who has been put in charge of the embezzlement case by the Judiciary Chief, has announced that the case is being investigated swiftly and decisively. He has also said that the culprits will be severely punished. Iran\'s Judiciary Chief Sadeq Larijani has stressed that the judiciary system will follow up the issue decisively. He has also said that the judiciary has been investigating the embezzlement case for almost two months.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is now involved in the case of an Iraqi woman beaten to death in her Southern California home. The El Cajon Police Department says the FBI is providing assistance as it investigates the death of Shaima Alawadi and whether her death was a hate crime. The mother of five had suffered multiple blows to the head with a large object. Police say her 17-year-old daughter discovered her in the kitchen on Wednesday, along with a threatening note. Hanif Mohebi is executive director of the San Diego chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Mohebi says the family had received another threatening note but had dismissed it as a prank. Alawadi\'s daughter has said that the note called her mother a terrorist and demanded she go back to her country. Mohebi says the family remains in a state of shock. Mohebi says for right now, family members are choosing not to speak to the media. A family friend says he believes the reports that Alawaidi’s death is a hate crime. El Cajon is located about 2 hours south of Los Angeles. The city has America’s second largest community of Iraqis, behind Michigan. But police say the beating is an isolated incident and the community shouldn’t feel targeted. Muslim leaders say the beating follows several months of increased reports of hate crimes in the San Diego area. They say the community needs to be vigilant in reporting any kind of threat or violence against them. Police say they have no suspects or persons of interest in this case. They have not confirmed whether any fingerprints were found on the note left at the crime scene.

The third hearing of the Mavi Marmara trial was held at Caglayan Courthouse in Istanbul on Sunday. The passengers of the flotilla as well as relatives and lawyers of the slain activists from 37 different countries attended the trial. There are 490 victims in the case, including flotilla passengers and relatives of the martyrs. The defendants who are tried as \\\"fugitive suspects\\\" include former Israeli Military Chief of General Staff Gen. Gavriel Ashkenazi, Naval Forces commander Vice Adm. Eliezer Marom, Israel\\\'s military intelligence chief Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin and Air Forces Intelligence head Brig. Gen. Avishai Levi. In the case on trial at the 7th Higher Criminal Court in Istanbul, the plaintiffs demand perpetrators of the violent attack to be sentenced to thousands of years in prison for a variety of serious crimes.

Turkey says it\'s seized a large quantity of chemicals on its border with Syria. Authorities say the chemicals could be transformed into weapons. The Turkish army says a convoy of three vehicles attempted to smuggle the chemicals across the border. The army managed to arrest one of the passengers of the vehicles near the town of Reyhanli. The rest of the suspects fled in the direction of Syria. The army says a large amount of sulphur was part of the chemical haul. Our correspondent in Turkey says the army also seized a shipment of chemicals at the Iskenderun port in Hatay province.

Most of these bombings are linked to this man. Omar al-Atrash, a cleric registered with Lebanon\'s Sunni body Dar al-Fatwa and the imam of a central Beqaa mosque, confessed to preparing explosive devices, suicide belts, car bombs and rockets carried out in the recent bomb attacks. Atrash, along with 12 Lebanese and Syrian suspects belonging to al-Qaida, the Abdullah Azzam Brigades and al-Nusra group, were charged for committing terrorist attacks that killed tens of innocent people in Lebanon.
