The Egyptian soldiers were killed when a bomber rammed his explosive-laden car into their bus on its way to the capital Cairo. Officials say the soldiers belonged to the Second Field Army that\'s fighting militants in the Sinai Peninsula. No person or group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack yet. Tensions in Sinai have been on the rise following the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi by the army in early July. Militants have mainly targeted policemen, soldiers and politicians. A woman was among the dead in the attacks in Nuristan province. Two other civilians including a child were also injured. Officials say the victims had no links to militants. Earlier in the day, a U-S drone strike killed two people in eastern Kunar province. Police say those killed were Taliban members. However in many other similar cases, civilians were found to be the main victims. Civilian killings at the hands of foreign forces have been a source of friction between Kabul and Washington since the US-led invasion of Afghanistan.

Pakistan\'s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that such attacks are a violation of the country\'s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It also said the airstrikes have negative impacts on Islamabad\'s efforts to bring peace to the country. The statement was issued after a US drone attack on a seminary killed at least six people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The US carries out assassination drone strikes in several Muslim countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Somalia. It claims they target militants but many civilians have lost their lives so far in the air raids.

Rescuers are still pulling bodies from the rubble as hopes of finding more survivors are dwindling over 24 hours since the incident occurred. The roof of the Maxima supermarket collapsed late on Thursday when it was full of shoppers. The cause of the deadly tragedy has not been determined yet, although the police have opened a criminal investigation focusing on the construction of the building. The crackdown on dissent continues in Bahrain where a court has sentenced 13 people to jail for allegedly trying to kill policemen. Twelve of these Bahrainis received a 10-year jail term. Another person was given a three- year sentence. They had all taken part in an anti-regime demonstration.
In a separate case at another court in the Bahraini capital Manama, a policeman was acquitted of attempting to murder a protester because of what was called insufficient proof. The legal proceedings against protesters have been described as show trials by rights activists. The Bahraini regime has harshly cracked down on pro-democracy demonstrations which began in the Persian Gulf kingdom in early 2011.

Shares in French automakers PSA Peugeot Citroen and Renault have soared after the landmark nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1.
Shares in Peugeot jumped nearly 4.5 percent while Renault shares rose to above one-percent in afternoon trade on Monday. The nuclear deal signed early Sunday fuels expectations that the two French car makers could quickly re-enter the Iranian market. Iran used to be Peugeot\'s second-biggest market in car sales volumes before Western sanctions against Tehran were toughened. Last year, the car-maker halted sales to Iran to comply with the sanctions, costing it nearly 10 percent of its global vehicle deliveries. Renault announced a nearly 700 million-dollar write-down because of damage to its business in Iran.

Furious Afghan president says US drones have struck a home in Helmand, killing a small child and wounding two women.
President Hamid Karzai has condemned the drone strike as yet another example of US disregard for civilian life. The strike comes in the midst of a standoff between the Afghan government and the US over a security deal. Washington is pushing for a military presence in Afghanistan after 2014 along with legal immunity for American troops. The US killing of civilians is a controversial issue in Afghanistan. The Afghan government wants the Americans to stop using airstrikes in populated areas, but those demands have so far fallen on deaf ears.

Anger continues to prevail in Pakistan over the U-S assassination drone campaign there. Pakistan\'s main opposition now urges the government to officially block the supply routes for US-led NATO forces in Afghanistan.
The Jamaat-e-Islami chief called it the best time to pressure Washington into putting an end to its deadly aerial attacks. He says the closure of routes could prove a serious disruption as US-led forces prepare for a planned withdrawal from Afghanistan next year. The statements came as protesters in northwestern Pakistan continued the blockade of NATO supplies to Afghanistan. The decision to halt the supplies was taken last week by a regional government controlled by Imran Khan\'s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party. Pakistan is the main supply route for foreign forces in landlocked Afghanistan.

In Pakistan\'s eastern city of Lahore, thousands have staged a protest against the US drone strikes in the country. Some five-thousand people attended the rally organized by a coalition of around 40 religious and political parties also known as Defense of Pakistan Council. They chanted anti-US slogans and called for an immediate end to the drone strikes. The protesters also called for blocking NATO supplies for Afghanistan which goes through Pakistan. The U-S drones strikes are highly unpopular in Pakistan. Activists say the US drone operations have killed thousands of civilians and injured many more.
