An Iranian diplomat, shot by gunmen in the Yemeni capital Sana\'a, has died of his wounds. Members of a terrorist group first tried to kidnap Iran\'s commercial attaché but when they faced resistance, they opened fire on him. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian says the diplomat died in hospital. The foreign ministry has strongly condemned the terrorist attack. According to Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Yemeni authorities are investigating the incident.

Pakistani Shia cleric Allama Nasir Abbas has been gunned down by unidentified armed men in Lahore. He was a leader of Tehreek Nifaz Fiqah-e-Jafaria-- a banned Shia organization. He was on his way home after addressing a religious gathering in Lahore on Sunday evening when he was shot by gunmen on a motorbike. His followers gathered at the hospital after hearing the news. They were chanting slogans against the government saying they will not bury his body until police arrest his killers. Meanwhile, Shia Muslims in Lahore have staged a sit-in protest since last night against the assassination of the Shia scholar.

A U-S drone has crashed in Afghanistan\\\'s eastern Nangarhar province. Shortly after the incident, Taliban militants arrived at the site and took away the crashed aircraft with them. The militants have claimed that they shot down the unmanned aircraft. U-S forces have also been deployed in the area searching for the drone. The U-S uses drones both for air strikes and reconnaissance operations. The attacks frequently cause civilian deaths in the war-torn country.

A Palestinian teenager has been shot dead by the Israeli army that opened fire on a group of Palestinians protesting against a buffer zone being built on the border between the east of the Gaza strip and Israel. Moaweya Hassanein, 19, was shot in the abdomen and carried to a hospital, where he died of wounds. An Israeli human rights group has released video footage which showed a non-violent crowd of Palestinian protesters being taken surprise by a gunshot fired by an Israeli soldier on the other side of a nearby security fence.

It was an ill-fated day 50 years ago when an assassin shot former President John F. Kennedy. The president was traveling in a motorcade with his wife Caroline in Dallas, Texas in 1963. Earlier in the day, the current president carried on the tradition of presenting a medal of freedom. A tradition started by Kennedy that he never lived to see. President Kennedy\'s legacy lives on despite the tragedy that cut his life at 46 years old. There are many who have theorized that his assassination was part of a conspiracy plot. But the real truth surrounding the former president\'s death may never really be known.
