The Shia and Sunni Canadian Muslims have gathered here today in Calgary downtown to express our extreme anguish and sorrow at the genocide of Pakistani citizens by a small group of terrorists. This representative gathering of Shia and Sunni and community organizations in Calgary has adopted the following resolutions:
1. We express our complete solidarity with the victims of the barbaric massacre in Abbas Town and with all the Shia and Sunni victims of the on-going genocide in Pakistan.
2. We strongly condemn the lack of action by the government of Pakistan which has allowed the foreign-sponsored terrorists of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and other puppet organizations to brutally murder tens of thousands of Pakistani citizens with impunity. The citizens lost to this brutal assassination campaign are greater than the number of citizens killed in many armed conflicts between countries.
3. We strongly condemn the criminal negligence and complicity of the government of Pakistan evident by the fact that despite the large number of innocent civilians that have been massacred, not even a single murderer has been held accountable.
4. We strongly reject attempts by the intelligence agencies of United States of America through their Saudi and Pakistani counterparts to divide the Pakistani Muslims on sectarian lines by sponsoring extremist organizations and divisive forces. We, the Shias and Sunnis are united in condemning these terrorists and the shameful lack of action by the government of Pakistan which has surrendered to the foreign interests rather than performing its duty towards its citizens.
5. We demand an immediate operation in the country to hold these culprits accountable for their crimes against humanity.
6. We strongly condemn the burning of Christian houses in Lahore today by extremists.
What would it take for the Pakistani government to change its shameful lack of action? How many more orphans and widows will it take before the government conducts an operation against these murderers committing war crimes against innocent Pakistani citizens? These foreign funded terrorists are unable to operate in many other nations due to a respectable, dignified and independent government, loyal to its citizens; why have the Pakistani government officials surrendered to foreign pressures? Why are they allowing their brothers and sisters and neighbours to be massacred?
We Shia and Sunni and community organizations in Calgary demand immediate action by the government to arrest and punish the perpetrators of the Abbas Town massacre and the individuals responsible for killings across Pakistan.

Efraim Halevi, Ex-dir of Mossad speaking on Shia-Sunni conflict
Efraim Halevi, the ninth director of Mossad and the 4th head of the Israeli National Security Council, speaking on Shia-Sunni conflict and how the Islamic revolution in Iran and Imam Khomeini shattered Israeli dreams in the Middle East and how the Shia-Sunni conflict is in their advantage and the way they used it for the benefit for Israel. So anyone who promote hatred and animosity between Sunni and Shia Muslims serves the Zionist entity. The Syrian conflict is just one example.

The martyrdom and mission of Imam Husayn (A) has brought forth countless people that are perfumed with the fragrance of Imam Husayn (A).
And along these very lines, Islamic Pulse is humbled to present yet another follower of Imam Husayn (A), in the blessed months of sacrifice, the months of Muharram and Safar.
Yet, is the Arbaeen of Imam Husayn (A) a recent phenomenon?
And what were the Shia communities like, during the eras of the immaculate Imams (A)?
What did the Arbaeen of Imam Husayn (A) provide the aforementioned Shia communities?
What did Imamate and Wilayate provide the Shia communities?
Finally, what place and what time did the immaculate Imams (A) designate as a global meeting point for Shias?
In this Arbaeen special episode, Sister Zainab answers these questions and explains, \\\"How Does Arbaeen Unite Shia Muslims?\\\"
Salutations be upon Husayn!
Salutations be upon Ali ibne Husayn!
Salutations be upon the children of Husayn!
Salutations be upon the companions of Husayn!

What is a profound tradition from Imam Sadiq (A) which calls for the Shias to do everything possible to help their fellow Shia brothers and sisters?
And is the aforementioned tradition limited to just the past or is it applicable to the present-day as well?
In what manner does Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei say the aforementioned tradition stated over a thousand years ago is applicable to the present-day?
Is it possible that if one ignores the call of help from a fellow Shia brother or sister, it could be considered a betrayal of Allah, the Messenger, and the infallible and immaculate Imams (A)?
And finally, what are some of the delicate issues surrounding the tradition of Imam Sadiq (A) in which he speaks about \\\"Responding To A Shia\\\'s Call For Help\\\"?
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition narrated from the 6th divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ja\\\'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (A), where his eminence (A) speaks about \\\"Responding To A Shia\\\'s Call For Help\\\".

In Yemen, tens of thousands of Shia mourners have attended the funeral procession of Houthi lawmaker Abel Kareem Jadban in Sana\'a. Jadban\'s body was carried by his Houthi supporters to the capital\'s airport and flown to the northern province of Sa\'da for burial. Jadban was a prominent Houthi lawmaker and the leading politician representing the Shia Houthi community in the national dialog, currently underway in the Arab country. He was gunned down by armed men on a motorbike as he was coming out of a mosque last Friday. The assassination came just weeks after deadly clashes between Houthi fighters and Saudi-backed Salafi militants in the northern town of Damaj.

Millions of Shia Muslims from across the world have flocked to Iraq\'s holy city of Karbala to hold mourning ceremonies marking Arba\'een.
Arba\'een marks the 40th day since the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, Prophet Mohammed\'s grandson and the third Shia imam. Security is tight in Karbala and other cities across Iraq. Authorities estimate that some 15 million people have braved the cold and deadly violence to attend Arba\'een ceremonies. Dozens of pilgrims have so far lost their lives in multiple terrorist attacks in recent days.

The defendant was found guilty of violence and taking part in protests in Qatif in Eastern Province. Saudi Arabia has intervened in Bahrain by sending troops to keep down an uprising there. The uprising in Bahrain is demanding democratic reforms for the Shia majority. The prosecutor had originally demanded the death penalty and is now expected to appeal to a higher court.

The pilgims\' bus was targeted at a village in the southwestern province of Balochistan, as they were returning from their visit to Iran. Twenty others were also injured. 51 passengers were on board at the time of the blast. The fate of nine other passengers is still unclear due to the impact. No person or group has claimed responsibility for the attack. In a similar attack on Janurary 1st, two people were killed when a bomb targeted a bus carrying Shia pilgrims. Balochistan has been struggling with sectarian violence, mainly targeting Pakistan\'s Shia community. Shia Muslims make up around 20 percent of Pakistan\'s population.
