Israeli settlers have broken into al-Aqsa mosque and clashed with Palestinians there. They were backed by Israeli forces who attacked the Palestinians using tear gas and rubber coated steel bullets. Israeli forces also beat the Palestinian protesters.
An emergency press conference was held in Jerusalem Al Quds following the clashes. Leading Islamic figures attended the event calling upon Palestinians and all Arab states to prevent the continued violations of al Aqsa mosque and the rights of Palestinians living in Jerusalem al Quds.

On Friday, a Palestinian man was assaulted by Israeli soldiers and settlers in Nablus. Dozens of Israeli staged a rally near the village of Jamma\'in in Nablus during which they chanted racist slogans and called for seizing more Palestinian land. When they were confronted by local Palestinians, Israeli soldiers attacked the Palestinians using tear gas and rubber bullets. 37 year old Ghassan Baker attempted to confront the soldiers who had entered his farm, however he was immediately dragged away and beaten by the soldiers and settlers. Ghassan Baker in the meantime was trying to tell the Israelis that he was wounded and could no longer walk due to injuries and breathing difficulties resulted from tear gas inhalation.

One of the victims was Palestinian resistance leader Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, who attended a non-violent demonstration held in the village of Betin against the illegal Israeli settlements.
Barghouti stated that soldiers randomly shot at protesters, wounding dozens of Palestinian citizens. He added that the Israeli army specifically targeted journalists who were recording the attacks.

Israeli forces have arrested a Palestinian boy for allegedly throwing a stone at Israeli soldiers: the boy is only 5-years old. The incident happened in the city of Hebron or al-Khalil in the Occupied West Bank.
The Israeli army has said the boy had endangered passers-by. The detention a 5-year old innocent boy is not an isolated case involving the violation of Palestinian rights.
There is a long list of such violations including the siege on the Gaza Strip since 2007, arbitrary abduction and arrest of Palestinians; destruction of their homes to name just a few.
On this edition of the show we ask: Why the international community is inactive in the face of these violations? What would be the reaction of the US and the EU if a 5-year old has been arrested anywhere else other than Israel?

26 Palestinians have been released from Israeli prisons. However, thousands of Palestinians remain in Israeli detention centers. 21 of the prisoners are from the West Bank and the other five are from the Gaza Strip. They are the second group of prisoners that have been released since August. Israel approved the prisoner release under the terms of the renewed US-brokered talks with the Palestinians. Tel Aviv agreed to release 104 Palestinian prisoners in stages following the start of negotiations on July 30.

israel has launched at least two air-strikes in the Gaza Strip.
There has not been any report of casualties yet. The attack comes just a few hours after Palestinians fired a rocket to Israel and Israeli forces shot a Palestinian teen in the leg. The rocket fell in an open area in Eshkol Regional Council. An explosion was reportedly heard in the nearby area but no injuries or damage has been reported. Attacks by Israeli forces on Palestinians have recently escalated. On Sunday, two people were wounded by Israeli tank shells in central Gaza.

A former Israeli official says Tel Aviv has killed most of the people behind the deadly attacks on its embassy and a Jewish center in Argentina in the nineties.
Itz-hak Aviran, who was the Israeli envoy in Argentina before retiring in 2000, made the remarks in an interview with Argentine media. He said Israel\\\'s secret service agents were responsible for the killings. Argentinian courts blamed Iran for the AMIA bombing in which 85 people died in Buenos Aires. Tehran, however, has strongly rejected such accusations. Iran and Argentina signed a memorandum of understanding last year to jointly probe the bombing in the Argentinian capital.

Doctors for former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon, who\\\'s been in a coma for nearly eight years now, say his vital body organs have failed, and he\\\'s close to death.
The former premier has been on life support at a medical center near Tel Aviv. He suffered a massive stroke in January 2006, and has been in a coma ever since. He was Israel\\\'s prime minister from 2001 until 2006. Sharon was also the minister of military affairs during the massacre at the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in 19-82. Back then, the Israeli army invaded Lebanon and allowed the Lebanese militiamen, known as Phalangists, to go on a killing spree in the camps. Reports say between 8-hundred and 35-hundred civilians, mostly Palestinians, were killed in the massacre.

Israel approves plans to build more than two thousand new settler units in Jerusalem al-Quds and the occupied West Bank. As Israeli soldiers hand out more eviction orders to Palestinian families, we\'re asking is Tel Aviv under enough international pressure to stop its settlement activities that the UN has called illegal? Are the US-brokered talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority doomed? I\'m Homa Lezgee and you\'re watching the Debate.

The Israeli military has launched three airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, targeting the northern, southern, and eastern parts of the besieged Palestinian territory.
Palestinian officials say three explosions were heard in the territory. Rescue teams and ambulances have rushed to the areas. At least 8 Palestinians have been injured in southern Gaza town of Rafah. Two Palestinians have also been injured in the north. Tel Aviv claims the air strikes were carried out in response to a rocket fired from Gaza. The Israeli military often targets Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which remains cut off from the outside world by a crippling blockade.

Benjamin Netanyahu also said at a cabinet meeting that Iran was getting everything, while virtually giving nothing in the talks. Netanyahu once again accused Tehran of trying to develop nuclear weapons and inter-continental missiles. The Israeli premier is expected to raise the issue in his meeting with visiting German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The accusations come as Israel is widely believed to be the sole possessor of nukes in the Middle East, with as many as 4-hundred nuclear warheads.

The Tenth Annual Israeli Apartheid Week has kicked off: an international event that raises awareness about Israel\'s apartheid policies towards the Palestinians and to build support for the growing Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign. In this edition of the debate, we\'ll discuss why this event has gained popularity around the world, and why perhaps at no other juncture in time, today Israel has become more isolated than ever before. Does the threat of economic boycotts will affect Israel\'s continued occupation of Palestinian territories? What should be done to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands?
