Iran\'s President Hassan Rouhani has warned that excessive demands could hamper talks on Iran\'s nuclear energy program. On his twitter page, Rouhani referred to his phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Rouhani told Putin that excessive demands could complicate the process toward a win-win agreement. The Iranian president praised Moscow\'s efforts to help negotiate a settlement to the issue. According to the Kremlin, Putin told Rouhani that there\'s a QUOTE real chance to resolve the international standoff over Iran\'s nuclear energy program. Representatives from Iran and the five permanent members of the U-N Security Council plus Germany will sit down for fresh talks in Geneva this coming Wednesday. The meeting will be held under pressure from Israel which seems determined to force Western countries to block a nuclear deal with Iran. The previous round of talks ended without an agreement after France, blocked a deal under the influence of Israel.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says the Gas Exporting Countries Forum can play an effective role in global decision-makings. Rouhani highlighted the importance of gas in the development of countries, as well as expanding the use of clean energy worldwide. He also expressed hope that as the new secretary general of the forum, Iran could play an effective role in coordinating the G-E-C-F policies and goals. Rouhani made the remarks at the 15th ministerial meeting of the forum which was held in Tehran. The G-E-C-F member states control over 70 percent of the world\'s natural gas reserves.

President Rouhani told his Chinese counterpart over the phone that China is an important country with significant responsibilities over international issues. Iranian president Hassan Rouhani says the recent terrorist attack on gas pipeline workers in Iraq targets the Muslim world and those who serve the Iraqi nation. Rouhani made the comment in a telephone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki. The Iranian president said such attacks aim to sow discord among the Iraqi people and damage the growing relations between Baghdad and Tehran. Rouhani said countries that have had a hand in such incidents should be held accountable. Maliki offered his condolences to the people of Iran and said he has ordered for Iranian residents and pilgrims in Iraq to be fully protected. On Friday, gunmen attacked workers at a gas pipeline project stretching from Iran into Iraq, killing 18 people, including 16 Iranians.

The Leader of Iran\'s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani have both hailed the nuclear deal clenched between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany in Geneva. Ayatollah Khamenei thanked the Iranian negotiating team, saying they\'ve done a praiseworthy job. The leader described the Geneva deal as a success and called on the Iranian negotiators to resist any excessive demand in the future. Meanwhile, President Rouhani has said that under the deal, Iran can continue to enrich uranium on its soil. The president also said the nuclear deal with the P-five-plus-one will see the sanctions against Iran lifted step by step. Rouhani noted that if the P-five-plus-one group lives up to its obligations, Iran will also abide by the terms of the agreement.

Iran\'s president Hassan Rouhani says Tehran is opposed to the presence of foreign forces in the Middle East region. Rouhani made the remark in a meeting with his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai in Tehran. The Iranian president also discussed Tehran\'s cooperation with Moscow on a range of issues, mainly regional peace and security, fight against terrorism, and the Syrian crisis. Lavrov, in turn, said that under international law all countries should have access to a peaceful nuclear program including uranium enrichment. He said Iran and Russia have a similar take on the nuclear deal struch in Geneva. Earlier, the top Russian diplomat held separate talks with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif over the conflict in Syria and Iran\'s nuclear program.

Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino who is in Tehran on an official visit has met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. During the meeting, President Rouhani said the level of relations between Iran and Italy is below expectation and all available capacities must be used to expand it. President Rouhani added that Italy has acted as an important partner in its relations with Iran and expressed happiness about Rome\'s willingness to expand ties with Tehran. He added that cooperation between the two sides can lay the foundation of mutual trust between Iran and Europe. Emma Bonino for her part said that Italy\'s interests lie in expanding and developing ties with Iran. She added that Rome is eager to expand relations with Tehran in economic, industrial, energy, tourism and scientific fields.
