Press TV has conducted an interview with Redwan Rizk, political analyst, about the Persian Gulf state of Qatar preparing for major leadership transitions in its body.

The Iranian embassy in the Lebanese capital has become the target of terrorist attacks as the Syrian army makes more gains in fighting foreign-backed insurgents. Press TV\'s correspondent Ali Rizk in Beirut has discussed these developments with Ahmad Moussali, a Professor of Islamic Studies at the American University of Beirut.

Tensions are running high in Lebanon\'s northern city of Tripoli where clashes continue between rival groups. So far, sporadic gunfire between supporters and opponents of the Syrian government has resulted in at least three deaths and several injuries. The Lebanese army has intervened, trying to end the violence. Our correspondent in Beirut Ali Rizk tells us how tense the situation in Tripoli is.

The spillover of the Syrian crisis has claimed more lives in the flashpoint northern Lebanese city of Tripoli. Ten people, including a woman, have been killed in clashes between supporters and opponents of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad over the weekend. At least 70 people have also been wounded. Our Beirut correspondent Ali Rizk sees the latest incidents as part of a larger picture. He says Saudi Arabia is losing its sphere of influence compared to regional players, and is therefore trying to regain its power by resorting to violence by proxy.

An intelligence unit of the Lebanese army has arrested a high-profile terrorist of the al-Qaeda-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades. The man was involved in a number of recent terror attacks in Lebanon, including the double blasts targeting the Iranian embassy in Beirut last November. Juz 16 of the Holy Qur\'an consists of three Meccan surahs: the last 36 verses of Surah Kahf, the entirety of Surah Maryam, and the entirety of Surah Taha. This juz touches on the concept of how Allah (swt) is in control of everything, including our free-will, how He provides our rizk, and how He intervenes in our lives. When we examine the life of Prophet Musa (as) in the beginning of Surah Taha, we see all of these concepts come together. When Musa’s (as) mother placed him in the river, she was nervous, but she had faith that Allah (swt) would take care of him. Allah (swt) made sure to move the river in such a way that the basket with Musa (as) in it would reach Pharaoh\'s palace. It is here that free-will comes into play. Using their free-will, Asiya, and eventually Pharaoh fell in love with baby Musa and decided to raise him. In this story we can see that while Allah (swt) is in control of everything, He has also provided us with free-will to decide our own destiny.
