Meanwhile, two students have been killed in a crackdown by security forces on protesting students at Cairo\'s al-Azhar University. The two died due to the wounds they sustained during the violence. 200 other students were also injured. An unspecified number of students have also been arrested. Government sources have not confirmed the fatalities. Egyptian security forces attacked the students with live rounds, tear gas and bird shots earlier on Monday. The students have been protesting the trial of their peers at a criminal court on charges of attacking the al-Azhar headquarters. Nearly 40 people were injured in similar protests on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, New Delhi police used tow trucks to remove the barrier along the embassy in retaliation. India is furious after its consul in New York was arrested and strip-searched by U-S police. The diplomat says she broke down after repeated handcuffing, stripping and cavity searches. Lawmakers at the Indian parliament are urging the government to take the issue very seriously.

In Egypt, political detainees, including Muslim Brotherhood members have gone on a hunger strike to protest what they call their deteriorating humanitarian conditions. According to the Brotherhood some 450 prisoners are now refusing to eat. Reports say the detainees in Torah prison are tortured and patients are denied proper medical care. The strike comes as Egypt\\\'s army-backed authorities intensify a crackdown on supporters of ousted President Mohammad Morsi.

Egypt has witnessed fresh demonstrations demanding an immediate end to the military rule. Students protesting against the army-backed government faced tear gas and bullets fired by security forces.

State television reported that the violence took place near the university\\\'s main entrance. Two student protesters were killed yesterday during similar protests. More than 100 others were also arrested. Egypt has been witnessing mass anti-government protests since the army toppled the first democratically-elected president in July. Security forces have intensified their crackdown on Muslim Brotherhood supporters after the interim government designated the group as a terrorist organization. The Brotherhood has been organizing anti-government protests. Human Rights Watch denounced the decision as politically-motivated and against the peaceful activities of the group.

Hundreds also gathered in Los Angeles, Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton to show their solidarity with the victims whose eyes were gouged out and heads smashed with rocks in front of their families without any reason. The Saturday protests in USA, UK and Canada were called in solidarity with the protestors in Pakistan who staged a long sit-in at the parliament house in Islamabad to press for the arrest of the murderers. Delegation of the protestors across North America and Europe met with the officials at the Pakistani Embassies and Consulates and submitted their demands for the Government to take action against the perpetrators within 15 days and to take concrete steps to end the ongoing genocide. The protestors passed a resolution that if the Government does not arrest the perpetrators within 15 days they will hold larger and frequent protests across North America and Europe and will take their case to the United Nations and the International Court of Justice.
