Israeli settlers poison Palestinians water well - English
Villagers in the South Hills of Hebron-Al Khalil were attacked by Israeli settlers from a nearby settlement when they poured a toxic poison into their water well.
A shepherd in the village of Yatta noted a foul smell coming from the local well and called the police to investigate. The police found a toxic substance and advised the villagers against using it for drinking water or for irrigating the farm because it would likely cause serious illness or death.

Earlier in the day, clashes also erupted with police in the northern city of Kef after another office of the ruling party came under attack by demonstrators. This, after the funeral of seven police officers who were killed by militants on Wednesday. Now the government is delaying a national dialog with the opposition. In Egypt, three prominent activists have gone on trial for defying a controversial protest law.
Ahmed Maher, Ahmed Douma, and Mohamed Adel are accused of organizing an illegal protest on November 30. Maher and Douma are also charged with allegedly assaulting police officers at another rally last month. The charges stem from a new law imposed by the military-backed government following the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi in early July. Maher and Douma supported Morsi\'s removal, but oppose what they see as the army\'s attempts to crack down on freedom of expression. Reports say the trial of the three leading figures-- who had a major role in the 2011 downfall of former regime-- has been adjourned now. Cairo has drawn international fire for the protest law, which has sparked violent protests nationwide. The law bans any protest assembly without prior permission from the police.

Thousands of Egyptians took to the streets of Cairo and elsewhere around the country to denounce what the protesters label \'the coup\'s constitution.
On Tuesday, more than a dozen students were injured as Morsi supporters staged protests against the military backed authorities. Police fired tear gas at students protesting outside Assiut University in Assuit province in Upper Egypt. Students held banners in support of Mohamed Morsi as they shouted anti police and army slogans. Such demonstrations are regarded as illegal, since they do not conform to a new law requiring organizers to give three days notice of a protest and to have it approved by the government. On another front, the Anti Coup Alliance said that the coalition will be boycotting the referendum which is set to take place next month. Many are fearful that Egypt would be gripped by another wave of deadly violence ahead of the referendum on what some call a disputed constitution.

Indians take to streets to vent their anger at the U-S. They\'re protesting the arrest and strip-search of a female Indian diplomat in New York.
The venue of the protests is outside the U-S embassy compound in New Delhi. The building has no barricades now to protect it from possible attacks. Earlier in the day, New Delhi police used tow trucks to remove the barrier along the embassy in retaliation. India is furious after its consul in New York was arrested and strip-searched by U-S police. The diplomat says she broke down after repeated handcuffing, stripping and cavity searches. Lawmakers at the Indian parliament are urging the government to take the issue very seriously.

Fresh anti-government protests are underway in Egypt, a day after deadly clashes between police and demonstrators.
One student protester has been killed in the capital Cairo. Clashes broke out after students in Al-Azhar University staged a protest against the military-installed government. They even set the Faculty of Commerce on fire. On Friday, five people were killed as police fired tear gas and birdshots at protesters. The opposition Anti-Coup Alliance-- led by the Muslim Brotherhood, has now called for seven days of street protests. The call came just one day after the interim government declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.

The Undiscovered Malcolm X - Stunning New Info on the Assassination - His Plans to Unite the Civil Rights and Black Nationalist Movements - the 3 Missing Chapters from His Autobiography. On this the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Malcolm X we spend the hour with historian Manning Marable who has spent a decade working on a new biography of Malcolm X. He is one of the few historians to see the three missing chapters from - The Autobiography of Malcolm X - that he says paint a very different picture than the book with Alex Haley and Spike Lees film. Marable has also had unprecedented access to Malcolms family and documents that shed new light on the involvement of the New York Police - the FBI and possibly the CIA in Malcolm Xs assassination. Manning today called on the federal government to release all remaining classified documents on Malcolm X.
