Israel\'s plan to forcefully remove 70-thousand Bedouins from the Negev desert by destroying their villages has already been condemned by critics as ethnic cleansing. In their petition, the British activists have called the act systematic discrimination and separation. The letter is part of a day of protest on Saturday in more than two dozen countries. Israel\'s parliament is expected to approve the eviction by the yearned. The move will pave the way for the construction of new settler units in the historic desert. Israel\'s settlement activities are considered illegal under international law.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the United States and Israel plan to attack two countries in the Middle East as part of a conspiracy to apply pressure on Iran. "We have precise information that the Americans have devised a plot, according to which they seek to launch a psychological war on Iran," Ahmadinejad stated in an exclusive interview with Press TV on Monday. "They plan to attack at least two countries in the region within the next three months," he added. He said the US seeks to achieve two main objectives with the scheme. "First of all, they want to hamper Iran's progress and development since they are opposed to our growth, and secondly they want to save the Zionist regime because it has reached a dead-end and the Zionists believe they can be saved through a military confrontation," Ahmadinejad explained. He also advised US President Barack Obama not to follow the policies of George W. Bush. In addition, he warned Russian officials to avoid playing into the hands of Washington because that would go against their national interests. Commenting on the nuclear issue, Ahmadinejad said Iran will resume nuclear talks with the West in September, adding that Iran wants Turkey and Brazil to participate in the negotiations.

The Israeli authorities are extending a pilot program they introduced last year for Palestinian students living in East Jerusalem al-Quds. The Israeli anti-settlement group Peace Now criticized Israel\\\'s latest move, saying Tel Aviv had the option of suspending settlement plans and giving the so-called peace talks a chance, but instead chose to push ahead with the expansion of settlements. The latest announcement came shortly after Kerry\\\'s departure. The U-S secretary of state had earlier urged Israel to refrain from taking any steps that would derail the negotiations. The international community considers settlements illegal, and the Palestinians have long viewed settlement construction as a key obstacle to reaching a peace agreement.

Latest media reports from Syria say insurgents fighting against the government plan to use a group of nuns kidnapped from their convent in the town of Ma\'loula as human shields. The nuns were then taken to Yabrud - a town under insurgent control north of Damascus. This, as Syrian forces have been deployed to the historic town to restore security there. The militants took over the town on Monday after rolling explosive-filled tires down the hills onto government forces, following three days of intense fighting. The kidnappings have drawn condemnation from the Vatican. Iran has also slammed the assault on the Christian religious site and called for the immediate release of the nuns. It\'s also urged the international community to take immediate action to prevent such criminal acts from taking place in the future.

Pakistan\'s new government says it will pursue Iran gas pipeline project despite mounting pressures from the United States to scrap it. According to the energy strategy unveiled by the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the project will be completed on time. Under the plan, the government plans to appoint a third party inspection agency for the Iran-Pakistan project next month. It has also planned to procure equipment and material to begin construction this year.
