Taking time off from studies and work, Iranians in the Netherlands go to the Iranian Embassy in The Hague to cast their votes for the eleventh presidential election. With only one polling station across the Netherlands, they have travelled from virtually all parts of the country to be a part of the most important political event taking place in their country. The Iranian Ambassador told Press TV that the Embassy had set up an executive board headed by the Ambassador himself and five Iranian residents in the Netherlands to oversee the election. A considerable number of voters are the Iranians studying or employed at the institutions of higher education in the Netherlands.

The current spell of miserable weather in the European Union\'s de facto Capital, Brussels, reflects the mood of many EU citizens who have fallen victim to the economic crisis. As the OECD cut its growth forecasts for the Eurozone and urged the European Central Bank to do more, the European Commission was setting out specific economic recommendations for member states. France, Spain, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Poland and Portugal are being given more time to implement painful economic cuts and raise taxes. Every year the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons - or OPCW - hosts an exhibition at its headquarters in The Netherlands to commemorate the people of Sardasht, Iran. In 1987 Saddam Hussein\'s warplanes unleashed a poisonous rain of chemical weapons, killing as many as 113 civilians and injuring thousands more. The victims gasped and vomited as they were rushed to hospitals. They dropped dead on the streets. They cried out as their eyes burned and skin bubbled.

Europe is shuddering under the threat of its worst storm in years. Hurricane-force winds lash mainland Europe, leaving five people dead or missing. Travel and transport are disrupted, with thousands forced to flee their homes. So far, Britain seems to be bearing the brunt, with 15000 homes evacuated. The Thames Barrier, designed to protect London from flooding, will remain shut on Thursday night. Across Britain, more than 100-thousand homes are without power. Prime Minister David Cameron has held two emergency meetings to discuss the situation. Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden are on alert. Hundreds of flights have been cancelled across northern Europe while rail and ferry services are shut down.

Iranian Judiciary planning to reduce the number of prisoners. Some of the prisoners that have not committed violent crimes may serve their sentence outside of their cell while being monitored by advanced technology. Iran\\\'s second highest Judiciary authority talked about the issue. The spokesman for Iranian Parliament\\\'s Legal and Judicial Commission said that the program can reduce around a seventh of the prisoners who qualify for in its first stage. The GPS Monitoring System can be used in all locations even closed ones like subway. It sends a signal every half an hour to inform the authorities of the location of the criminal. At the moment eight countries including Netherlands, France, Thailand and United States use this technology.
