[22 June 2012] The new Egypt A finale or a prelude to struggles - Middle East Today - English
An official final result in Egypt says the candidate of Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt Mohammed Morsi has won the country's presidential election runoff. He has secured around 52 percent of the votes; however Ahmed Shafiq the Mubarak-era Prime Minister has also claimed victory. Will this be the beginning of more trouble for Egypt? Will the military council still have the final say in the country?

Following Tunisia's revolution, winds of change swept across Egypt and led to the fall of Hosni Mubarak.
But here, in the somewhat cooler climate of London England, Egyptian democracy campaigners say it's still business as usual.
At a meeting across the street from parliament, a gathering of Egyptian campaigners gave a clear warning to the British establishment that the era of western backed dictatorships in the region was coming to an end.
The Egyptian democracy campaigners want a real change in the direction of Britain's foreign policy, and they say the UK government can start by freezing the assets of the Mubarak family in Britain
The assets, say the campaigners, are the proceeds of corruption, and must be repatriated to the Egyptian people.

Even those who were in doubt can now see the decline of the so-called superpowers. The new era has begun. This era is the era of Islam & Iran.
Today, the bullies are helpless. They couldn\'t dare stop Iran from transporting oil tankers to Venezuela.
Understand the concept of Soft Power. The New Islamic Civilization is starting to take shape. Alhamdolillah.

Despite the fact that the world of Islam is ready to confront the camp of oppressors, some keep insisting that this era is the era of not confronting the enemy. Despite the fact that an Islamic Government has already been formed over 40 years ago, some continue to feel scared of the so-called superpowers. Despite the Islamic awakening around the globe and a strong Islamic movement, some continue to live in fear and paranoia. Despite back to back victories that Allah keeps bestowing upon this divine Islamic movement, some continue to instill cowardice and passiveness in the hearts of the believers.
Brothers and sisters out there, recognize the time you live in. Don\\\\\\\'t become passive because some friend or some speaker or some scholar or some relative of yours decides to live in the past. The movement needs you. The movement awaits you to join. The caravan of ishq continues to head towards its destination - Imam Mahdi (A). Wake up if you\\\\\\\'re asleep. Become active if you\\\\\\\'re passive. Learn and act on Islam simultaneously. Understand your responsibilities in today\\\\\\\'s time!

The Era Has Changed | Sayyid Hashim al-Haidari
Those who are ignorant about today\\\'s political climate still seem to be living a few centuries in the past. Brothers, sisters, for Allah\\\'s sake, understand the times you live in. Our Imams have strongly urged for us to comprehend and evaluate the situation around ourselves. Isn\\\'t it time for the Muslim Ummah to wake up and join the caravan of Imam Husayn (A)?

Egyptians are set to mark the third anniversary of the ouster of former dictator Hosni Mubarak. On the eve of the occasion, supporters of deposed president Mohamed Morsi are planning mass rallies to condemn his ouster by the military last July.
The Anti-coup Alliance, which is made up of 40 Egyptian Islamic parties, has issued a statement urging Morsi supporters to hold nationwide protests. The alliance also called for symbolic rallies near foreign embassies and consulates to condemn their support for the military-backed interim government. Supporters of the toppled leader have staged non-stop demonstrations since Morsi\'s ouster, demanding his reinstatement.
