Protests by the anti-coup groups calling for the reinstatement of ousted President Mohamed Morsi continue in Egypt\'s universities. This comes despite violent clashes between anti-coup demonstrators and security forces as well as the army\'s supporters.
On Wednesday protests spread to Zagazig University where students rallied against disciplinary action taken by the University Administration against 4 Muslim Brotherhood students.
Violent clashes had also taken place the day before in the Delta City of Mansoura. There, Morsi\'s supporters clashed with students supporting the military. Security forces intervened to disperse the crowds by firing tear gas.
Similar clashes also took place at Cairo University but the Al Azhar University had the flashpoint of anti-coup protests and violence.
Morsi supporters staged large protests for 3 consecutive days demanding the reinstatement of the ousted president and the release of students arrested.by the security forces.
The clashes in Al Azhar University left dozens of students injured. More than 40 students were also arrested. but the Islamic Students Against the Military Coup said they would continue demonstrating against the military and the interim government untill their demands are met.
Since the start of the academic year in September, Egyptian Universities have been the scene of repeated protests and violence, which have disrupted the educational process.
Egyptian universities are among places where you can clearly see the effects of societies\' polarization between supporters of Morsi and those backing the military. If no serious reconciliation efforts are made soon, it is feared that clashes and violence could become a frequent occurrence on-campuses around the country.

The government formation in India\\\'s New Delhi State seems impossible for the time being, as differences remain.
The Bharatiya Janata Party, the BJP and the Congress have NOT agreed to 18 conditions set by the Aam Aadmi Party --- also known as the Common Man\\\'s party --- which led Delhi assembly elections last week. The BJP and the Congress Party came second and third in the elections. The Aam Aadmi Party is demanding unconditional support by the two other parties. Its leader Arvind Kejriwal says that the BJP and the Congress Party must back his election manifesto, which includes a campaign against corruption. The BJP has rejected that it offered support to the Aam Aadmi Party. The Congress Party has also criticized the Aam Aadmi Party\\\'s leader for setting conditions. If no political solution is found in the coming days analysts say Delhi could soon be heading for President\\\'s rule with a Lt Governor taking all decisions till the state goes in for a fresh poll again in the coming months.

Meanwhile, thousands of people have taken to the streets of Rome to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Enrico Letta\'s government.
The protesters, who\'re angry over the government\'s harsh austerity measures and high unemployment, called for fresh elections. They also accused the ruling class of corruption. The relatively calm protest turned violent after the demonstrators broke a journalist\'s camera, accusing them of being terrorists. The rally was organized by the anti-European Forconi or Pitchfork movement, which has been demanding more national sovereignty and lower taxes. The movement initially started as a farmers\' movement and was later joined by truck drivers and students. The Italian president has warned that failure to swiftly introduce reforms to help struggling citizens could plunge the country into violent social unrest.

Palestinian political prisoner and long term hunger striker Samer al Issawi was greeted by hundreds of supporters, friends and family as he was released from an Israeli jail following the longest hunger strike in Palestinian history.
Samer al Azawi was originally captured by the Israeli army and handed a 26 year sentence in 2002. He was released as part of the Gilad Shalit deal alongside over a thousand other prisoners in exchange for 1 Israeli prisoner. However, Asawi was arrested again in July 2012 and held in administrative detention without charge or trial. Following his detention, Asawi went on a 260 day hunger strike in protest against the Israeli\\\'s threatening to renew his original prison sentence for breaking the terms of his parole. Israeli forces raided his family\\\'s home twice just before his release. On Sunday, Israeli authorities gave notices to Issawi\\\'s brother and father, demanding they meet requirements by the Israeli intelligence. Israeli intelligence agents, accompanied by soldiers, told the family they were not allowed to organize any celebrations for Issawi\\\'s release. Samer al Azawi will now join his family in Jerusalem al Quds following a 9 months hunger strike which prompted the Israeli authorities to release him. He stressed the importance of applying international pressure on Israel to release over 4800 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli jails.

In Japan, opposition is mounting against a decision to relocate the US military base on Okinawa. Opponents are now threatening with lawsuits and protests, demanding that the base be completely moved off the island.
The head of Nago group, which opposes the base, said that the organization would file a lawsuit challenging the governor\\\'s decision. Okinawa officials have approved the relocation of a controversial US military base on the southern island. About half of all US military personnel in Japan are stationed there. The stagnation of the relocation issue has been a thorn in the side of relations between Tokyo and Washington since 1996 when the two governments agreed on the original plan to move the base.

The lawmakers are demanding the withdrawal of the army. Earlier in the day, clashes broke out between gunmen and police in the central city of Ramadi where the camp was located. Three policemen and ten gunmen were killed. The violence also spread to the nearby city of Fallujah. The lawmakers are also calling for the release of detained MP Ahmed al-Alwani who backs the anti-government protesters. On Saturday, security forces raided Alwani\\\'s home. Deadly clashes broke out after his guards opened fire on the police. Seven people -- including the MP\\\'s brother, five guards and a security force member - were killed before Alwani was taken into custody.

Faisal Meqdad was talking to reporters at a news conference on the sidelines of the Geneva-two conference. The remarks were made after the morning session between the Syrian government delegation and that of the opposition\'s was adjourned over the latter\'s support for the U-S decision to continue arming terrorist groups in Syria. The afternoon session of talks between the two sides was cancelled earlier due to disagreements over the basis of the talks. The Geneva-two talks have already been deadlocked amid sharp differences between the two sides. The foreign-backed opposition is demanding the formation of a government without President Bashar al-Assad. But Damascus says it won\'t accept the request, as it\'s not included in the Geneva communique which has already been announced as the basis of the talks.

Thousand of Israelis have held a rally in Jerusalem al-Quds against talks between Tel Aviv and the Palestinian Authority.
The rally was attended by several prominent rabbis within the settler community. The protesters called on Israeli authorities to halt talks with the P-A demanding that Tel Aviv expand and continue its settlement activities in the West Bank. The participants called US Secretary of State John Kerry\\\'s framework agreement for the so-called peace talks anti-Semitic. The so-called Kerry plan is expected to call for a phased Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank based on the 1967 lines with unprecedented security arrangements in the strategic Jordan Valley. Israel has recently been facing mounting international pressure and isolation over its continued settlement activities.

Egyptians are set to mark the third anniversary of the ouster of former dictator Hosni Mubarak. On the eve of the occasion, supporters of deposed president Mohamed Morsi are planning mass rallies to condemn his ouster by the military last July.
The Anti-coup Alliance, which is made up of 40 Egyptian Islamic parties, has issued a statement urging Morsi supporters to hold nationwide protests. The alliance also called for symbolic rallies near foreign embassies and consulates to condemn their support for the military-backed interim government. Supporters of the toppled leader have staged non-stop demonstrations since Morsi\'s ouster, demanding his reinstatement.

Demonstrations against the Shah of Iran were in full swing in the United States and Europe as early as 1977 and continued until the success of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in January of 1979. This victory led to the fall of the Pahlavi regime. Consequently, many regime supporters including members of SAVAK, the dictator’s personal secret police force, began to hold demonstrations demanding the United States overthrow the elected government and reinstall the Shah – or his son – as monarch. The hope was that the United States would orchestrate a coup similar to the one they had helped manufacture in 1953 against Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh. At the same time, pro-revolution demonstrations continued, often in conflict with the pro-Shah supporters. One demonstration turned particularly chaotic in the summer of 1980. Safiyyah Abdullah was there and gives her account of the events that led up to a spontaneous act of solidarity by a group of indigenous American activists.

Millions have been guided to the path of the Ahlulbayt (A) through Shaykh Ibrahim Zakzaky in Nigeria. Now, the Shaykh is in dire need but the Muslims globally have generally abandoned him, just as the Infallible Imams (A) had been abandoned before.
While clusters of believers across the world are busy protesting and demanding justice for Shaykh Zakzaky, what are many of the “Scholars” busy with? Why is there little to no outrage from the 1.8 billion Muslims worldwide at this atrocity? What can we do now to truly oppose the tyrannical Nigerian government and President Buhari? How can we rise to the cause of Shaykh Zakzaky?
This is not a Sunni or a Shia issue; this is something which concerns every Muslim on the planet today. Indeed, this is an issue which even concerns Christians and all good people. Unite and rise against injustice TODAY!

The annual United Friends and Family Campaign march in London aims to highlight the hundreds of deaths in police custody which have occurred over many decades.
While the problem is systemic, often maintained by institutional racism many of the families demanding justice for many years maintain that the police are never held to account for deaths in custody and most certainly do not face any semblance of justice, trial or jail.
