Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati has condemned the deadly bombing in the capital Beirut and called for national unity.
Mikati described as a crime the explosion which killed six people including Mohammad Shatah, a senior political figure from the March 14 Alliance. He highlighted the need for the resumption of dialog among political factions. Earlier, Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah also condemned the deadly blast, calling it a despicable act aimed at destroying national unity. Iran, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the US have also denounced the attack. Tehran says Lebanon\\\'s enemies are seeking to foment sedition by targeting political factions. Meanwhile, Lebanese dignitaries have attended a mosque in Beirut to sign a book of condolences in honor of Mohammad Shatah.

The latest fatalities bring to nine the number of people who\'ve lost their lives in the past 24 hours in Tripoli. Dozens of people have been injured since the battle erupted on Saturday morning. The Lebanese army has intervened, trying to end the violence.

There is a sad sentiment across Baghdad as several deadly car bombs claimed dozens of lives across the capital.The string of bomb blasts that killed dozens here in Baghdad targeted mostly shia areas. Even a shia mosque was targeted. No one has claimed responsibility for the killings but it is expected that they are attempts by Al Qaeda and its backers to ignite sectarian war in Iraq.
The blast left 11 people dead. Press TV took to the streets to see how Iraqis were handling the fatal incidents. They told us they have had enough.

Meanwhile, a UN official says at least 19 people are killed in fresh clashes in Bor, the capital of Jonglei state. The army now says it has lost control of the city. Tensions are also rising in other part of the country. South Sudan has been witnessing deadly violence after President Salva Kiir accused former vice president Riek Machar of trying to launch a coup. Machar who was sacked in July has denied the accusations. Based on U-N figures, up to 500 people have been killed and 800 others wounded since the violence broke out on Sunday.
