Manchester, England. 1 March 2008. Five years after the invasion of Iraq, two leading opponents of the US-led occupations in the Middle East come to Manchester to talk about the reality of the War on Terror on the ground at a public rally. The event is organised by the Stop the War Coalition as part of its build up to the World Against War demonstrations that were due to take place globally on March 15th 2008. This meeting is a chance to hear key figures from the Middle East and leading activists and writers from Britain discuss the impact of the war on terror and the continuing campaign to get the troops out. The speakers include two eyewitness reports from Iraq and Lebanon: 1. Ibrahim al-Moussawi is editor of the Lebanese Hezbollah newspaper, al-Intiqad, and one of the key spokespeople for the popular resistance to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 2006. 2. Hassan Juma'a is President of the Iraqi Oil Workers Federation, and a leader of the campaign to stop the US-led privatisation of Iraqi oil. They are joined at the rally by Chris Nineham, national chair of the Stop the War Coalition. Ibrahim Mousawi defies a campaign by warmongering Conservative Party leader, David Cameron, to keep him out of the country. "Governments should not censor what people have to say and confiscate the right of intelligent people to decide what to hear or not to hear. I'm a staunch defender of political freedoms and freedom of speech," retorted al-Moussaw. This particular clip shows Ibrahim al-Moussawi, editor of the Hezbollah newspaper, speaking at the event.

The show features the two characters facing mostly self-made problems, trying to solve them using any possible and impossible tools and construction gadgets. This leads to even more problems and yet, eventually, the two manage to get a working result with a mostly surprising solution. According to the authors, it is the manual ineptitude that inspires the stories. The humour is not the only feature of the show, another feature is having an optimistic approach towards life. The two characters always get into problematic situations, but they never give up until they solve the problem in imaginative ways.

[15 June 2012] Egypt rev. continues through elections - English Egypt's Supreme Constitutional Court has ordered the country's parliament dissolved saying the legislative body's election about 6 months ago was unconstitutional. The Supreme Constitutional Court ruled on Thursday that one-third of the parliamentary seats were "illegitimate." The court also ruled that the parliament-approved political isolation law is unconstitutional, allowing ousted dictator Hosni Mubarak's last premier Ahmad Shafiq to stay in the presidential runoff this weekend. The Thursday rulings come just two days ahead of a tense presidential runoff between Shafiq and Muslim Brotherhood's candidate Mohammed Morsi. Following the decision, the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) declared full legislative authority and said that, by Friday, it will announce a 100-person assembly that will write the country's new constitution. Press TV has conducted an interview with Waleed el-Haddad, spokesman of Freedom and Justice Party, to hear his opinion on this issue. Pingu and his parents are enjoying a quiet dinner, but Pingu isn\'t happy due to him refusing to eat his greens once again. Mother and Father decide to share their food. Father gives Mother fish, Mother gives Father greens and Mother tries to give Pingu a brown potato, but he refuses and splatters it all over Mother. Father becomes enraged and tells him off. Pingu then rocks his chair and ends up pulling everything off the table. His parents become furious and Pingu ends up getting a spanking. He tries to make amends, but gets neglected instead and runs away, feeling that his parents don\'t love him anymore. Pingu\'s parents enjoy some quiet time, but they\'re not really enjoying it because they are worried about Pingu because of what time it is and what they have done. Meanwhile, Pingu becomes hopelessly lost. He nearly gets crushed by falling ice, and then comes face to face with three ugly, menacing monster-faces in the snowdrifts. They look like a human skull, a goblin/grumpy dwarf and a dinosaur/dragon. Terrified, he runs and hides in an ice cave. His parents, realizing how late it is, feel pretty bad of how they treated Pingu, so they come out and find him, with Father using his post truck to find him. Pingu notices his parents finding him and shows himself. Happy to see their son, Mother and Father both apologize to him and they take him back home. After Pingu is fed hot soup by Mother, they all go to bed together happily.

Meeting in the Turkish seaside resort of Bodrum under the auspices of the UJN the scholars, who represent all of Pakistan\\\'s major Islamic sects and tendencies, agreed to come together to tackle religious intolerance in the interests of Muslim unity. The signatories include Sahibzada Muhammad Hamid Raza of the Sunni Ittehad Council, Sahibzada Muhammad Hamid Raza of Jamiat Ahle Hadith and Allama Syed Niaz Hussain Shah of Hoza Ilmia Jamia Al Muntazar. The 11-point UJN Pakistan Unity Declaration commits the signatories and the UJN to sign statements in the upcoming Islamic month of Muharram denouncing the killing of fellow human beings on the basis of colour, creed, ethnicity or religion as haram. The statements will also declare excommunication or takfir against fellow Muslims and abusing the Prophet Muhammad\\\'s family and companions as against the Shariah. Also party to the accord were Allama Mohammad Sadiq Qureshi (Minhaj ul Quran International), Maulana Syed Ali Murtaza Zaidi (Jamay Imamia), Liaqat Baloch, MP (Jamaat-e-Islami) and Muhammad Sarwat Ejaz Qadri (Pakistan Sunni Tahreek). The accord is based on Charter 3:103, initiated by the Islamic Human Rights Commission in 1997 and now a UJN core project, and since adopted by scores of Muslim organisations, which calls for Muslims to be united in accordance with the 103rd verse of the third chapter of the Holy Quran. It also addresses the challenging problem of madrasas in Pakistan, believed to be a breeding ground of intolerance, recommending that syllabuses and curriculums under the signatories\\\' respective spheres of influence address the need for respect, harmony and peace between all members of Pakistani society.
