A great way for GIMP beginners and learning the GIMP basics, basically getting started with GIMP/beginning with GIMP. Follow the steps and you will learn how layers work in GIMP, how to make a basic gradient in GIMP. How to use the text tool in GIMP, how to change the font color in GIMP, how to make a border around text in GIMP, how to make a drop shadow in GIMP, how to make a border around an image in GIMP, learn the basics about selections in GIMP and layers in GIMP. In this video I assume you know nothing about drawing in flash and do my best to cover pretty well every aspect of using the drawing, transforming, and filling tools in Flash. Learn all kinds of neat little tricks and maybe solve some of the frustrating problems you have had with flash in the past!

MATERIAL: Six Stranded Embroidery Floss (DMC BRAND) PATTERN INFO: For this you will need to know how to do both a forward AND a backward candy stripe. If you do not know how to make a candy stripe go here: You will need 4 different strings cut 60\" (inches) long folded in half. This will leave you with 8 strings that need to be arranged. Set them up as follows: 1 2 3 4 (middle) 4 3 2 1 Just look at this bracelet as two individual candy stripes. The one on the left needs to be forward knots, the one on the right needs backward knots then you just join the middle after completing the left and right \"candystripe\" bases. Enjoy! TIP: To make thicker stripes you need to have two of the same color beside one another. 1=Red 2=Blue Set them up as follows: 1 1 2 2 (middle) 2 2 1 1

MATERIAL: Six Stranded Embroidery Floss (DMC BRAND) INSTRUCTIONS: You will need 65\" (inches) of string if doubling the strings, 35\" (inches) if you\'re using individual colors. Basically you just need to make a bunch of forward knots from left to right and then when you want to reverse just start making backward knots from right to left. It\'s a very simple bracelet and can be done with as many strings as you want! NOTE: I realized after I had completed this video that the girl who requested it actually asked for the FLIP-FLOP zig-zag pattern- so I need to re-do this and go get the flip-flop done. That\'s not an issue, though. I\'m sure there was someone out there that was wondering how to do the plain zig-zag bracelets so I am going to post the video anyway!
