[10 Aug 2012] Syrian army cleans Allepo main parts from armed groups - English
It's our second visit to Salah Eldien. Syrian army has restored order here. Foreign backed armed groups have declared a tactical withdrawn blaming it on their sponsoring countries for shortage of weapons, manpower and ammunition. But there is something different in this visit. We didn't have to hide from snipers. We didn't have to run from wall to wall trying to avoid someone sitting a kilometer away trying to kill anything that moves.

[10 Aug 2012] Egypt President meets Iranian Vice Pres in Cairo - English
Every year on the last Friday of Ramadan, Muslims commemorate al-Quds day and show their solidarity with the people of Palestine. The Palestinian cause is an indisputable aspiration shared by almost every Muslim in the world, regardless of their national, lingual and sectarian diversities. Their wish to liberate Palestine and al-Quds from the Zionists goes beyond all their differences. This year's al-Quds day, in the aftermath of revolutions and political turbulences in the Muslim and Arab world, and in the prospect of sectarian conflicts and civil wars ignited by the western powers, is a unique opportunity to forget all differences, to use the spiritual and liberating experience of Ramadan and to come together as brothers and sisters.
Muslims traditionally tend to ignore the material life and worldly pleasures and to restrain themselves from any dispute during the month of Ramadan. This week's Islam and Life asks: How important is the international Al-Quds day for Muslim unity?

[2] Mystery of Egypt Sinai border attacks with George Galloway - 10 Aug 2012 - English
n Sunday, unknown gunmen opened fire on the Egyptian border security guards at a checkpoint near the Karm Abu Salem border crossing, killing at least 16 security personnel and injuring several others. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi called an emergency meeting with the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces following the incident on Sunday, the Egyptian state media reported. "President Morsi says that this cowardly attack will not go without a response... and that those who committed this crime will pay dearly," said a statement issued late on Sunday by the Egyptian president's office.
After killing the border guards at a checkpoint near the Karm Abu Salem border crossing, the militants, who were wearing traditional Bedouin clothing, seized two armored vehicles and quickly drove off the scene. Witnesses said the militants also fired rocket-propelled grenades at the Egyptian army checkpoint. Meanwhile, an official of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas declared that, "The border between Egypt and Gaza is protected. We closed the tunnels to prevent anyone from escaping (into Gaza) and we have put our forces on alert."
In Israel, a spokesman for the armed forces said that one of the vehicles exploded while trying to cross the Rafah border. The other vehicle was reportedly hit by an Israeli airstrike. Egypt has been trying to secure its borders following last year's revolution, which resulted in the ouster of Hosni Mubarak.

[12 Aug 2012] Pakistan resolute to import gas from Iran - English
These violent protests against the long power outages are a grim reminder that Pakistan is in the midst of severe energy crisis.
Many parts of the country remain without electricity for several hours even during the month of Ramadan.
Facing public pressure, the government is exploring several options to meet the country's future energy needs.
One such option is to import natural gas from neighboring Iran.
But Islamabad is under pressure from the United States to abandon the project.

These people would cherish to have such evening coming every day in their life, but they can have it just once.
Sunday evening was a moment of joy for hundreds of rohingiya muslims in New Delhi who have been ignored by the world community and left into destitution.
A nonprofit organization khudai khidmatgaar arranged an iftaar for these people who are running short of food supplies, water and other basic essentials during this holy month of Ramadan.

[12 Aug 2012] Muslims in Iran mark last night of honor - English
Prayers and invocations at the last Latlat ul-Qadr or the night of honor; a night sacred to all Muslims.
In the Islamic culture the word Qadr is equal to honor and dignity. Every year during the 19th, 21st, and 23rd of the holy month of Ramadan in the Islamic Lunar calendar Muslims stay awake and pray through out the entire night.
The ceremony known as Ehya is a chance for them to pray and ask for God's blessing. Iranians mark these nights by gathering in mosques; they pray for the sick and those in need as well as their loved ones.

[12 Aug 2012] Afghan freedom depends on US interests - English
More than a decade in Afghanistan the US-led forces are now facing more violence. As many as eight US-led troopers have been killed by locals in southern Afghanistan over the past three days in the so-called "green-on-blue" attacks. In two separate incidents on Friday, three American forces were shot by a man in Afghan police uniform, who had invited them to a meal, while three other troopers were killed by an Afghan, employed in a NATO base.
According to a NATO count, green-on-blue attacks, in which Afghans turn their weapons against the foreign forces, have killed a total of 34 foreign troopers this year. The inspector general police of the Helmand province, Abdul Nabi Ilham described the green-on-blue attacks as a new tactic of the Taliban. Thousands of NATO troopers, due to withdraw from Afghanistan in 2014, are still in the country under the pretext of 'training and working alongside Afghan soldiers' for the anti-insurgency campaign.
