The battle for Qusayr is over. The Syrian Army is now in full control of what the foreign-backed opposition called \"the backbone of the revolution\". Video footage from the previous night when the city was under the insurgents\' control reveals a lot about the nature of the battle that represents a turning point in the Syrian government\'s fight against the militants. After the sunset on June 4th, The Syrian army intensified attacks on insurgents\' strongholds from various directions. The army took new routes different from the ones used in previous days pressuring the militants and making them leave Qusayr\'s city center into the northern quarter. By then, it wasn\'t long before the militants made the conclusion that the battle is lost and started leaving the city.

These photos show the remaining pieces of the unmanned US surveillance drone and also show fighters celebrating the US loss of one of its spy drones. These picture were posted on twitter.
Another drone crashed on Saturday in Qaw, a village located 20 kilometers west of the port city of Bossasso in the northern Puntland region.
The United States claims to be targeting militants with its assassination drone attacks overseas, but reports indicate the airstrikes have mostly led to civilian casualties in Somalia and several other Muslim countries.
Anti drone activists say that Somalia does not need US interference, especially its drone programs. They say the unmanned aircraft has caused more harm than good. A security expert says that the UAVs have led to higher civilian deaths in Somalia since its inception.

The city of Detroit, Michigan made headlines last month when police reported that there were 13 people shot in 24 hours. But other cities in the US are also starting to see an increase in violent crime. The surge in violence comes as the FBI releases figures that indicate that the crimes are part of a nationwide trend. The FBI figures suggest the overall increase in violence is due to a surge in crimes committed in larger cities-- after six years of steady declines. Violent crimes include murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assaults. Nationally, those crime rates have edged up 1.2 percent year-over-year, according to the FBI\'s Preliminary Annual Uniform Crime Report. The largest increases happened in cities with populations of between 500,000 and one million people. This is where violent crime rose by 3.7 percent, including a 12.5 percent spike in murder rates.

Shoghe Parvaz - Passion for flight is an Persian (Farsi) Serial based on the life of Shaheed (Martyr) Abbas Babaie.
Martyr Abbas Babaiue was born in 1958 in the Iranian city of Qazvin in a middle and religious family. From his childhood, he was possessing extraordinary characteristics. He used to meet the people with love and possibly helped them and he continued this behavior until he breathed his last.
After graduation, he qualified the entrance test in the Medical College, but in order to follow his dream career, he got admission in Iran Air Force Academy. After completion of his initial training, he left for USA for higher studies in the Air Force in 1970. What distinguished him from others in USA was his sustenance of religious morality and excellence in education, away from his home in a morally corrupt society of western world.
In 1972, he returned to his own country, Iran obtaining his pilot degree certificate. On June 26 1975, he entered into matrimonial relationship with his maternal cousin Sidiqeh (Maliheh) Hekmat and Allah bestowed him one daughter and two sons.
After the Islamic Revolution of Iran, at the beginning of the Iran Iraq war, Abbas Babaie prepared himself to serve and safeguard Islam and the revolution. He got the position of Lt Colonel on 31st July 1981 by virtue of his perpetual endeavors and unparalleled efforts, and accordingly he was entrusted the headship of Isfahan Air Base.
The Iran Air Force wing became strong and stable due to his power of creativity and military expertise. Despite holding the position of Commander, He himself used to take part in air strikes. It was due to these efficiency and sincere efforts that he achieved the rank of Brigadier Colonel in 1987. But the status, name and frame least disturbed his personality as simplicity and sincerity had become part and parcel of his nature.
He laid down his life in the way of Allah on 6th August, 1987 on the of \\\"Eid uz Zoha\\\". Allah bestowed him with the gift of martyrdom as a result of his sacrifices.

[07 Aug 2012] West plans to take over Middle East nations Analyst - English
Syrian security forces have clashed with foreign-sponsored insurgents in several neighborhoods in the country's largest city of Aleppo as part of their efforts to clear the city of the armed groups.
The Syrian government forces entered the al-Sakhour area inside Aleppo and arrested between 200 and 250 insurgents, 70 of whom are believed to be foreigners.
Meanwhile, the Syrian armed gangs attacked a traffic police station in central Aleppo on Tuesday and opened fire on the Syrian police forces, leading to casualties.
The foreign-backed insurgents receive arms and support from several Western and regional states, including Saudi Arabia.
Many people, including security forces, have been killed in the unrest in Syria that began in March 2011.
This is while the United Nations has pulled its observers out of Aleppo due to, what it called, the worsening situation in the city. Almost 20 UN observers returned to the mission's headquarters in Damascus.
Damascus says, "outlaws, saboteurs, and insurgents" are behind the unrest in the country, while the opposition accuses the security forces of killing the protesters.
The Syrian government says the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the armed insurgents are foreign nationals.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Dan Dicks, founder of Press for Truth, from Toronto, to further discuss the issue.

Syrian army victories against foreign-backed militants have become a fact nearly on a daily basis, especially in Damascus and its suburbs. Press TV team accompanied Syrian army units in parts of al-Qaboun area that have been cleared of the foreign-backed militants. The Army regained control over the main bus station in al-Qaboun where Syrians used to head to any other Syrian city. However, armed men, who occupied it for nearly two months, destroyed it completely. Syrian army units have managed to completely secure the 1.5 kilometer industrial zone in al-Qaboun area which links Barzeh, al-Qaboun and Jobar together. Army personnel underlined the strategic importance of the secured area.

Syrian army forces have cleared the strategic border city of Qusayr of foreign-backed militants after two weeks of fierce fighting. For the militants, losing Qussayr meant a cut off in supply lines of weapons and arms. But for the Syrian government, the city has been a strategic location.
As international efforts are underway to fashion a political solution to end the crisis in Syria, the army is gaining the upper hand in its fight against the militants after retaking the strategic city of Qusayr. Elian el-Khamissi reports from Beirut.

Another tense day here in the old city of East Jerusalem Al Quds. While on our way to meet with the family of 16 year old Hasan Afifi who was arrested on Friday and brutally assaulted by Israeli police, we saw a group of Palestinian men sitting just outside one of the gates leading to the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
The group of men had just been denied entry to the Mosque by the Israeli police. While filming, Israeli police came up to us and instructed us not to film. Reluctantly we moved away few meters and took another position. Minutes after we spotted two under cover police men getting tipped off by the same policemen we encountered few minutes earlier.
The following images speak for themselves. The two under cover policemen walked towards the group men and uttered few words: why are you sitting here? immediately tempers flared and they approached one of the men and snatched him. There was no provocation from the side of the Palestinian men.
