According to former French Foreign Minister Roland Dumas, the United Kingdom had pre-planned the death and destruction in Syria to bring about regime change in the country.
The statement by Dumas came during a recent interview with French Parliamentary TV network, LCP.
\\\"I\\\'m going to tell you something. I was in England two years before the violence in Syria on other business. I met with top British officials, who confessed to me that they were preparing something in Syria,\\\" said Dumas.
He continued by saying, \\\"This was in Britain not in America. Britain was organizing an invasion of rebels into Syria. They even asked me, although I was no longer minister for foreign affairs, if I would like to participate.\\\"
Turmoil has gripped Syria since March 2011, and many people, including large numbers of Syrian security forces, have been killed in the unrest. In May, under pressure from Britain and France, the European Union lifted an arms embargo on the militants in Syria, while maintaining other sanctions on the Syrian government.

The UN humanitarian chief urges the UN Security Council to impose more pressure on all sides involved in the Syrian conflict to allow greater access for the provision of assistance. Valerie Amos said the Security Council should put its full political weight on both the government and opposition parties to ensure that previous calls for access are realized. The U-N Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator added that 9 point 3 million people currently need assistance to survive. The figure stood at 6 point 8 million in September. Amos also said that 6 point 5 million people are now internally displaced. On October 7, the United Nations estimated that over four million more people would be forced out of their homes in 2014 due to the escalation of the conflict. The UN said two million Syrians are expected to seek refuge outside the country, while another 2-point-25 million will be internally displaced next year.

The israeli authorities have seized all shelter and humanitarian aid provided to Palestinian residents who had their homes demolished by the Israeli army in the Jordan Valley.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian territories (OHCHR) had provided the humanitarian assistance when the Israeli authorities bulldozed an entire Palestinian village in the Jiftlik area of the Jordan Valley. The Israeli army have now declared the area a closed military zone and do not allow human rights groups and media entering the area. Last week the Israeli army bulldozed 13 homes and animal outhouses belonging to 3 bedouin families, leading to the displacement of 26 people and 15 children. At the time the army claimd that they were living in a military training zone. Israeli has clarified its position over the Jordan Valley stating that they aim to annex it onto their land. Tel Aviv has refused a deal brokered by the US, to remove all military presence from the Jordan Valley. This is the second time that the Israeli army demolish Palestinian homes in the village of Jiftlik -- leaving them in a cold winter without home or shelter. Rights groups say childrens and elderly are the ones who have suffered the most as a result and if this trend continues it could lead to a serious humanitarian crisis in the village.

In the second part of his appearance on CNBC's Squawk Box this morning, Ron Paul asserted that the world would be a lot safer if the US government didn't start so many wars and continually tried to meddle in the affairs of other countries.
He explained that Iran poses no credible threat to America and that Obama's policy of assassinating US citizens on secret charges demonstrates that something has gone terribly wrong with American foreign policy.
Ron Paul supports regaining US security through diplomatic and economic engagement backed by military deterrence instead of aggression, murder and perpetual warfare.
Ron Paul is America's leading voice for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies.

Iranian presidential candidate Ali Akbar Velayati says it is possible to fix the Islamic Republic\'s economic problems by reforming the country\'s foreign policy.
The Iranian former foreign minister made the remarks in a televised interview in Tehran on Monday.
\"The issue of foreign affairs... and the domestic economy have close ties to one another,\" he said.
Velayati, who is currently serving as an advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, stated that he would pursue Iran\'s nuclear rights if elected in the upcoming presidential election. \"I would like to assure our dear people that we will solve the nuclear issue by preserving the nuclear rights and we will boost international relations without relinquishing an iota of Iran\'s rights.\"
The Principlist candidate added that Iran has \"billions of dollars in foreign countries,\" and that \"we need an active diplomacy,\" to return it.
He also emphasized boosting the country\'s economy by privatizing state-run sectors, increasing production, and fully implementing the state subsidy program.
Velayati will be contending against lawmaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili, Expediency Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei, President of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council Hassan Rohani, former First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, and former Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Gharazi.
Iranians will go to the polls in the nation\'s 11th presidential election on June 14. The 4th city and rural council elections are also scheduled to be held on the same day.
The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election, and the Guardian Council vets the candidates.
