Iran\\\'s Interior Ministry has hosted the first meeting of the Central Executive Board of the country\\\'s upcoming presidential election. The Thursday meeting was attended by members of the election board and chaired by Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar in the Iranian capital city, Tehran. The meeting came after the Guardian Council (GC) (Iran\\\\\\\'s top election supervisory body) spokesman Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei said on Wednesday that the GC has approved 30 people as members of the Central Executive Board. The board comprises the interior minister, intelligence minister, attorney-general, a lawmaker, and a number of religious, political, cultural and social figures. Based on the amendments made by Iran\\\'s Majlis to the election law last year, the Interior Ministry is tasked with holding the presidential election under the supervision of the Central Executive Board.
