Hezbollah’s secretary-general says the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s move earlier this month to normalize relations with Israel was a...
Hezbollah’s secretary-general says the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s move earlier this month to normalize relations with Israel was a “free-of-charge service” provided by Abu Dhabi to the politically-embattled officials in Israel and the United States.
“The Emirates’ move was service given free of charge to Donald Trump, the president of the United States, and Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of the Zionist regime,” Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said during his annual address marking Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (PBUH).
Trump announced on August 13, 2020 that the UAE and Israel had agreed to normalize ties.
The agreement was met with uniform condemnation on the Arab street.
It came in the middle of near-daily mass rallies by Israeli people demanding Netanyahu’s resignation over corruption and incompetence. It also coincided with widespread unrest in the United States over racial discrimination and brutality by police.
When the deal was announced, Israel was openly speaking of plans to annex the occupied West Bank and the Jordan Valley. Emirati officials claimed Tel Aviv had agreed to suspend those plans in return for the normalization of ties.
But shortly after the deal was made public, Netanyahu denied that those plans had been frozen.
Nasrallah said Netanyahu did not bother to help save the face of Emirati officials, coming out quickly to deny the suspension of the annexation plans.
Netanyahu, Nasrallah added, also belied an Emirati claim that Tel Aviv would provide Abu Dhabi with drones as part of the deal.
Hezbollah ‘will never recognize Israel, victory matter of time’
Nasrallah said any attempt toward the recognition of the Israeli regime by any party was condemned.
He reasserted Hezbollah’s position of never recognizing the Israeli regime.
The Hezbollah chief said the resistance front’s victory was “only a matter of time.”
‘Saudi Arabia, UAE only US instruments in Yemen war’
Nasrallah called the Saudi-led war on Yemen an essentially “US-led” war.
He said Washington was only using Saudi Arabia and the UAE as “instruments” in the war, which has killed tens of thousands of Yemenis and pushed Yemen close to the brink of famine.
Meanwhile, in another speech on Saturday, Hezbollah’s secretary-general said Arab and Western embassies in Lebanon were spending “millions” of dollars on a media war targeting the Lebanese resistance movement.
The foreign embassies pay the hefty sums to “media outlets to target Hezbollah by spreading false news and lies,” Lebanese news website al-Ahed quoted Nasrallah as saying.
“They are paying money in exchange for spewing venom,” Nasrallah said. “They have gone beyond the realms of lying, [going as far as] provocation, insults, and slurs against Hezbollah.”
He said the smear campaign of such proportions against the group was unprecedented.
The Hezbollah chief said the media war was being directed from a command center that sometimes fed the same misinformation to all of its subsidiary news outlets.
Hezbollah has resisted pressure targeting Lebanon by Israel and its biggest ally, the United States. In the 2000s, it forced the Israeli military to retreat during two wars on Lebanon.
Nasrallah said the propaganda campaign was aimed at demoralizing the group and making it abandon the causes for which it has been making many sacrifices.
He said, however, that “neither intimidation nor murder can scare us.”

Thousands of Lebanese have held a fresh anti-government rally in the capital Beirut. Demonstrators called on authorities to end the country’s economic problems. They demanded the rapid formation of a new government and the immediate removal of Lebanon’s entire political class. The protests erupted on October 17th and forced Prime Minister Sa’ad al-Hariri to resign. On Saturday, Lebanon’s President Michel Aoun said he will soon set a date for formal consultations with lawmakers to pick a new premier.

Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi has declared a curfew in the capital, Baghdad, until further notice as protests continue against alleged economic problems.
In a statement released on Thursday, Abdul-Mahdi said “all vehicles and individuals are totally forbidden to move” in Baghdad from 05:00 a.m. local time (02:00 GMT).
Travelers to and from the city’s airport, and ambulances, government employees in hospitals and in electricity and water departments, as well as religious pilgrims are exempt from the curfew, the statement added.
It gave provincial governors discretion whether to announce curfews in their provinces.

The Pakistani prime minister has warned against the consequences of India’s crackdown in Kashmir in an address at the United Nations.
Imran Khan stressed that India must lift what he called the inhumane curfew of Kashmir and release political prisoners. He demanded that the international community take action to give the people in the Muslim-majority Himalayan region the right of self-determination. Further in his remarks, the Pakistan premier accused the west of equating Islam with terrorism.

Who is at fault; India or Pakistan? An overview of the Kashmir conflict and an unravelling of the “coincidental” similarities between the Kashmir occupation and the occupation of Palestine. India has sent additional troops into Jammu & Kashmir and is oppressing the people (particularly the Muslim population). With the rise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, (a Trump-like nationalist in India), there has been a significant rise in extremist Hindu groups throughout India, and Muslims are being targeted. Tensions between Pakistanis and Indians has increased and the Muslims of the region face yet another fitnah that threatens to divide them. Who are the main perpetrators in the region? What is the stance of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, the Leader? What does the history of Kashmir reveal to us about the #EnemiesOfIslam?

Canadians pack Nathan Philip Square in Toronto to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir
Sunday August 18 (Toronto) – thousands of Canadians packed Toronto’s iconic Nathan Philip Square in Toronto to raise their voices in support of the oppressed people of Kashmir.
Organized by Friends of Kashmir Canada, people from all walks of life and belonging to all faiths attended. They included Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and people of other faiths.
Young and old, children as well as people in wheelchairs were there to lend support to their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
At its peak the crowd was so large that it could not be accommodated in the square so people had to climb to the overhead walkway to watch the rally below.
The rally was held to coincide with India’s independence day celebrations paid for the Indian Consulate in Toronto where an India Food Festival was also held.
Realizing the size of the rally in support of the people of Kashmir, Indian consulate staff maintained a low profile and cancelled a number of events including a formal opening ceremony, settling for music blaring from their loudspeakers.
The several dozen vendors peddling greasy Indian food were also subdued, preferring to adopt a low profile aware that the rally participants were highly charged although organizers repeatedly reminded people to ignore Indian vendors peddling their wares.
Speakers were not just from the Kashmiri or Pakistani communities but also included such well-known Canadian society figures as Sid Ryan, former President Ontario Federation of Labor, Journalist Phil Taylor of the famous Taylor Report, Peace Activist Ken Stone, Karen Rodman of Just Peace Advocates and Human Rights Lawyer, Stephen Ellis.
Framing it in the context of International law and based on UN Security Council resolutions, speakers repeatedly called upon the Canadian government to take a more forthright stand on the long-festering problem of Kashmir.
Several speakers also highlighted the fact that with federal elections due in October, the question of Kashmir should be made a part of the election campaign. Rally participants were told that when candidates come knocking at your door seeking your vote, ask them about their stand on Kashmir.
“If they don’t support the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, tell them they will not have your vote,” said Zafar Bangash, Convener of the Friends of Kashmir Canada and one of the principal organizers of the rally.
Ken Stone reminded rally participants that it was a retired Canadian general, Andrew MacNaughton who was instrumental in formulating the earlier Security Council resolutions. “Canada, therefore, has a moral and legal responsibility to fulfill its obligations in implementing the resolutions that it drafted.”
Sid Ryan, the former Labor leader and now an accomplished author, called upon people to unite for justice and peace causes whether these relate to Kashmir or Palestine.
Human Rights Lawyer Stephen Ellis said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be investigated for war crimes, a sentiment echoed by another lawyer, Jatinder Singh, who is with the group, Sikhs for Justice.
A number of young Kashmiri students among them Salma Khawaja, Khaoula Siddiqi, Shaheen Siddiqui, Ayesha Malik (not her real name because her parents are still in Srinagar and she managed to get out of there with the help of the Canadian High Commission staff in Delhi) and Mueen Hakak also spoke narrating passionate accounts of the suffering of the Kashmir people.
There were also a number of speakers from the Sikh community that came to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
Rally organizers vowed that the struggle for the rights of the Kashmiris will continue until they achieve their legitimate aspirations to hold a referendum as contained in a number of UN Security Council resolutions.

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe meets with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei on June 13, 2019.
Why did the Leader reject to exchange messages with the American president, Trump?
These words of the Leader are a slap on the hypocritical face of the United States of America!

Some argue that the progress of any country is not possible if the world's arrogant and oppressive powers are against that country. This narrative is simply a hoax! The prime example to prove this is the past 40 years of the continuous progress and development of the Islamic Republic of Iran despite all the challenges posed against it by the Pharaohs of today. Today, the System of Wilayat al-Faqih stands tall against all the oppressive systems of the world.

The Sacred Defence: A Treasure | Leader of the Islamic Revolution
The Sacred Defence is a prime example of how a threat transformed into an opportunity for the Islamic Republic of Iran. The enemy enforced this war on Iran through Saddam; many innocent lives were lost but the blood of the martyrs seeped into the roots of this divine revolution - resulting in its tremendous growth. Today, this becomes a role model for all the other nations.

The Western Liberal Democracy | Sayyid Hashim al-Haidari
Which democracy do you claim to have?! What is the reality of this democracy?! It is nothing but a false perception, hoax and fluff created by the so-called superpowers. Unfortunately, today, many who don\\\'t even know how to spell democracy are beating drums of establishing democracy around the globe!
Sayyid Hashim boldly quotes Fukuyama, uses United States of America as a prime example, and dismantles this false perception of western liberal democracy.
