A gathering to draw a road map for the future of natural gas in the global energy basket. Energy ministers and representatives of 17 countries gathered in Tehran for the 15th ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum or the GECF. The Forum includes giant producers of natural gas such as Russia, Iran and Qatar as well as Oman and the United Arab Emirates. Other members are in Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
