Welcome to the Islamic Pulse Talk Show.
In this episode we\\\\\\\'re talking about the recent episode of burning the Holy Quran in Sweden by Swedish citizen and Danish politician Rasmus Paludan on January 21, 2023. We\\\\\\\'re also discussing why Charlie Hebdo released the offensive caricatures of Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.
What kind of an individual would burn the holy Quran, a book deeply respected and loved by well over 1.5 billion Muslims all across the world, and many many non-Muslims as well?
And isn\\\\\\\'t it dangerous for a person to have such kind of extreme hatred in their hearts to the point where they would burn another religion\\\\\\\'s holy book, and also have a political position in the government?
And who is ultimately behind the burning of the holy Quran, the desecration of religious sanctities, and what are some of their motives?
What are some of the reactions that a person would give in the face of such kinds of inciteful acts of hatred and Islamophobia?
How should we react to these kinds of inciteful and Islamophobic acts of hatred?
Why would an individual want to live in a country where they are considered to be second or even third-class citizens by the governmental establishment, and at times, the overall majority of the population?
What is \\\\\\\'secular intolerance\\\\\\\' and \\\\\\\'secular extremism\\\\\\\', and why is it so dangerous, especially within the context of \\\\\\\'secular terrorism\\\\\\\'?
What is a beautiful verse of the holy Quran that puts all these things into perspective?
Why were some unfortunate cartoons made of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, an individual respected and revered by countless Muslims and non-Muslims alike?
And can some pitiful cartoons made by a trash and pornographic magazine from a country that is breaking apart at the seams, really bring down the spiritual status of a revered religious leader such as Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei?
What is one of the reasons why the great plot created by the Arrogant Powers and seen in the recent rioting in Iran, failed miserably?
And what does the burning of the holy Quran, and the cartoons of Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, and previously of the Messenger of Allah (S), signal about the current condition of the enemies of Islam?
Has the communist model survived long enough to provide for the worldly welfare of humanity?
And what is the current state of the capitalist model, who also claims to be able to provide for the worldly welfare of humanity?
Finally, what makes Islam different from the above-mentioned man-made failed models?
To answer these questions and more, we humbly invited Shaykh Ali Qomi from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to sit down with us and speak a little bit about these topics as we speak about the recent events of \\\\\\\"Burning The Holy Quran & Caricatures of Ayatollah Khamenei\\\\\\\".

Ever since the Islamic Revolution in Iran more than three decades ago, the country has been the constant target of terrorism and extremism. Kurdistan the western Iranian Province has been a hot spot for terror attacks that have targeted civilians more often than not.
The Democratic Party of Iran\\\'s Kurdistan and Komalah Party are extremist ethno-centric groups with separatist ideologies. They have their strongholds in neighboring countries and their leaders live in Europe. In the past three decades the two armed organizations have been responsible for the assassination and death of thousands of Kurdish people. The victims\\\' so-called crimes range from collaborating with the Islamic Revolution, to fighting alongside Iran against Saddam Hussein\\\'s invasion of the country, or to simply refusing to pay extortions. In spite of the two groups\\\' common ideology and goals, they are bitter rivals who have had thousands of their members killed in violent clashes between the two.
The Common Target though tells the story of Ebrahim Mohammadi\\\'s assassination; A simple middle aged citizen who was gunned down simply because he had taken up arms against Saddam during Iran-Iraq War. Although the order was issued by a high-ranking DPIK member in Europe, the final bullet that took Mohammadi\\\'s life was shot by a Komalah member. How did this happen? Why a common target between rivals? These questions are investigated in this documentary.

Myanmar rejects a UN resolution that urges it to give the Rohingya Muslims equal access to citizenship. Myanmar also accused the UN of violating its sovereignty. On Tuesday, the UN General Assembly\'s human rights committee called on Myanmar to stop Buddhist violence against the Muslim minority. But the demand drew strong opposition from the West\'s democracy icon Aung San Suu Chee \'s party. Buddhist violence against Rohingya Muslims, which is said to have the state backing, has become routine in Myanmar. It\'s left hundreds dead and sent another 2-hundred 40-thousand fleeing their homes.

US President Barack Obama has defended his administration\'s use of drones as legal, effective, and just.
\"We are at war with an organization that right now would kill as many Americans as they could if we did not stop them first. So this is a just war,\" Obama said in a major policy speech at Washington\'s National Defense University on Thursday. \"Our nation is still threatened by terrorists,\" he pointed out, noting that \"We must recognize however, that the threat has shifted and evolved from the one that came to our shores on 9/11,\" he said.
The US president claimed the strikes have been effective in targeting militants and have made the United States a safer country. Obama outlined the legal guidelines surrounding the use of unmanned aerial vehicles to wage war in distant lands.
\"I don\'t not believe it would be constitutional for the government to target and kill any U.S. citizen...Nor should any president deploy armed drones over US soil. But when a US citizen goes abroad to wage war against American and is actively plotting to kill US citizens...his citizenship should no more serve as a shield than a sniper shooting down an innocent crowd should be protected from a swat team,\" he said.
On Wednesday, US Attorney General Eric Holder admitted for the first time that four US citizens were murdered in assassination drone attacks conducted by the CIA in Pakistan and Yemen since 2011.

The Americans including the Jewish citizens, are really getting fed up with Israel\'s violations of Palestinians\' rights as they get more informed thanks to the Internet, says an analyst. The Palestinian Authority (PA) has threatened to take legal action against Israel at the International Criminal Court (ICC) if the Tel Aviv regime builds new settler units on the occupied Palestinian land. The move comes as the Zionist regime of Israel is planning to build new settler units in a Palestinian area called E1 outside the suburbs of East al-Quds (Jerusalem). More than half a million Israelis live in over 120 illegal settlements built since Israel\'s occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds in 1967. The UN and most countries regard the Israeli settlements as illegal because the territories were captured by Israel in a war in 1967 and are hence subject to the Geneva Conventions, which forbids construction on occupied lands.

[19 July 2012] Obama drones akin to Bush torture - English
Relatives of three US citizens killed in non-UN sanctioned US assassination drone strikes in Yemen have sued senior officials at the US Defense Department and the CIA.
According to the lawsuit filed on Wednesday, the killings of US-born Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, his 16-year-old son Abdulrahman al-Awlaki and naturalized US citizen Samir Khan were unconstitutional, Reuters reported.
The victims' relatives said that the three assassinations committed by the CIA violated US legal guarantees, including the right to due process.
On January 31, President Obama confirmed that the US uses the unmanned drones in Pakistan and other countries.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Alfred Lambremont Webre, human rights & war crimes lawyer, to further discuss the issue.

[18 July 2012] Al Saud fails to implement reforms - English
Despite being world's biggest crude exporter, sixty percent of the people in Saudi Arabia live below the country's poverty line, a Saudi newspaper reported.
In an article published by the Okaz daily, Saudi journalist, Khaled al-Harbi wrote that while Saudi Arabia earns 1,500 billion riyals (around 400 billion dollars) a year, the average salary of an ordinary Saudi citizen should not be 1,500 riyals (around 400 dollars).
According to official figures released by Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia (Shura), about 22 percent of Saudi citizens - at least 3 million citizens - live below the poverty line.

[19 June 2012] Israeli citizen gives up citizenship - English
24 year old Andrey Pshenichnikov is in the French capital with a purpose that goes beyond tourism.
This is his passport, the one he wants to renounce. In the past, some Israelis have managed to get their citizenship revoked, but there are no known cases of these Israelis applying for Palestinian residency or a Palestinian passport.
Born in Tajikistan before the collapse of the Soviet Union, Andrey Pshenichnikov's parents moved to Russia in search of a better life.
And then the family moved to Israel.
It took only a little while before he discovered the darker side of his new country.
This experience influenced his years as a soldier of the Israeli Defense Forces.
Instead, Andrey Pshenichnikov lived and worked at the Deheishe Refugee Camp near Bethlehem, first in hotels and then in construction.
He is also open to the idea of settling down in Gaza.
Andrey Pshenichnikov says Israeli authorities have black listed him as a terrorist.
And he believes, it's easier to give up his citizenship when he's out of Israel.
He hopes, his decision will set an example and inspire others to follow.
The process to renounce his citizenship could be a lengthy one, one that Andrey Pshenichnikov says he is willing to face.

[17 June 2012] British government tracking Internet users - English
The British government has proposed legislation that will give blank cheques to Internet and phone firms to pay them to track everyone's E-Mail, Twitter, Facebook and other Internet usage. It is going to cost hundreds of millions of pounds for a massive invasion of people's privacy along with breaching civil rights of almost every citizen in the country and presumably anyone from abroad who communicates with them. The legislation is supposed to catch terrorists before they terrorize, that is of course the excuse!
Spain was bailed out during the week at the cost of one hundred billion euros which is around 80 billion pounds and 125 billion dollars. "It is impossible to speak a sentence about the Euro Zone without the words "crisis" and "bail out" in it," said George Galloway. On Sunday, Greeks went to the polls. "If the left wing coalition wins then that would be next week's crisis in the Euro Zone," Galloway added.

[09 June 2012] Outrage over detention without trial of Palestinians by Israel - Remember Palestine - English
Bruce Kent a veteran anti-war activist has made an appeal for Palestinians under repression and imprisonment. He says what is going on today in Palestine is really shocking: Any map of the Wall and the ever expanding West Bank settlements makes it perfectly clear what the ultimate aim is - the occupation by Israel of all of traditional Palestine with the inhabitants leaving, living in Bantustans or reduced to second class citizen status in one Zionist country. As more than 4,000 hunger strikers resistance continues, in this edition of the show we take an in-depth look at their plight and the imprisonment without trial that has led to their large-scale protest recently.
